Uncharted 4’s Sales Surpass 2.7 Million in First Week

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is the fourth and the last entry in the Uncharted series. Two weeks have passed since Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End released on PS4, and it has met with praise from both critics and fans.

In its first week of release, Uncharted 4 sales have exceeded 2.7 million units, according to Sony. This is the number of copies sold to retailers and includes both physical and digital sales as of May 2016. This number does not include the number of copies shipped to retailers.

This figure was revealed on the Playstation Blog. Here is what Sony Computer Entertainment America marketing manager Asad Qizilbash said:

“Thank you to the team at Naughty Dog for delivering Uncharted 4, a stunning experience that sets a new bar for interactive entertainment,” said Shawn Layden, chairman of Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios.

“We are thrilled so many gamers have taken this journey with Nathan Drake and look forward to continuing to deliver epic gaming experiences available only on PlayStation.”

The third game in the series, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, reportedly shipped 3.8 million globally on day one of its passing. Still, the game was released some years in the PlayStation 3’s life and, thus, had a larger player base.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is still one the most successful games on the platform and has received some rare reviews on different sites and in coming days Uncharted will win many more awards.
