Red Dead Redemption Mod for GTA V has been has been Cancelled

The original Red Dead Redemption is arguably one of the best Xbox games of all time. A few months earlier Rockstar officially announced Red Dead Redemption 2 for PS4 and Xbox One.

In March, a modding group known as “.White Team” announced a GTA V mod which will allow players to roam around in the wildlands of Red Dead Redemption. This mod was called “Red Dead Redemption V”, with its first trailer and few screenshots released last month.maxresdefault (1)Take-Two Interactive was not at all thrilled with this mod and they immediately ordered the modding team to remove the trailer from the internet.

Sadly, It is clear that this mod will not release in any form as it already received a legal takedown order from the parent company.maxresdefaultThe developers are still in shock and the lead programmer of the team stated the following statement in a forum post:

“I know this is hard pill to swallow, but as you may have noticed we did get contacted, and we sadly have to say we are stopping this project. So thanks guys, we were all so happy to see this, but it isn’t going to happen, sorry.”

They planned to launch a beta this summer but that won’t be happening anytime soon. The only way to play RDR on PC is by paying for Sony’s streaming service, PS Now.
