PS4K or PS4 NEO Will Reportedly Release by September

A French distributor has revealed that the rumoured PS4 upgrade will hit the market by September.

In a press release posted on Boursier,  Innelec Multimedia states that PS4K or PS4 NEO will release in “the first half of our fiscal year,” – i.e. between April to September 2016.

This means that PS4 NEO will release before PlatStation VR. It will be ideal to release the update just before the PlayStation VR, PlayStation VR will hit the market by October 2016 and an earlier report has also revealed that the console will be announced before the release on PSVR.

The PS4 NEO will have the following features:

  1. Higher Clock Speed

  2. Improved GPU

  3. Higher Memory Bandwidth

  4. Support 4K Images Output

Games released after the NEO will include “NEO mode” which improves performance, but these games will also work on the original model.

Earlier, Ubisoft’s CEO Yves Guillemot expressed his belief that there will be another console after this, even with upgrades to current-gen hardware, but PlayStation boss Shuhei Yoshida is reportedly unsure if there will be a PS5.
