Imagine a situation, where you just bought a new game, fully excited to lay hands on it, turn on your Xbox One or PC and when you plug in that beautiful Xbox One controller and almost in the game, you suddenly realize that you haven’t charged your controller and It’s out of battery. Now you have to recharge it typically for a while before you can return to your game, but it simply kills the mood.
Now, the above situation seems to be a problem no more as an accessory manufacturing company, Performance Design Products (PDP) has announced that they are in the process of releasing the “Super Charger” (that’s what they are calling it), which is capable of fully charging a totally drained controller in less than 60 seconds! And as claimed by PDP, a quick charge of only less than a minute can give you gameplay lasting for 10 hours or more! Now that’s a lot!
According to PDP chief technology officer Tom Roberts, “The Super Charger’s unique ability to recharge the Xbox One controller in just seconds reduces interruption in game play sessions – a full recharge during a quick break provides convenience to all gamers.”
The Super Charger is still in a prototype stage and has not been in an official process of releasing and Microsoft is also completely mum on when it is coming to the Xbox One, or whether it will be officially supported at all. We will let you know when we receive further updates about this charger.
