Nintendo to release revamped NES with 30 in-built games


Riding high on the huge success that their mobile game, Pokemon Go has proven to be, Nintendo capitalized on their hype and caught all their fans off guard as they announced a miniature NES which hopes to satge a comeback after its predecessor, the original NES was launched back in 1983. The NES has sold over 61 million units worldwide.


As of now, here is what we know about the ‘Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition’, as it is called:

  1. It is going to be available in retail November 11th at an MRP of $59.99.
  2. It will feature an HDMI port and will not require cartridges.
  3. It will also have a controller that will resemble the iconic rectangular NES controller of the yesteryear, which will also connect to a Wii Remote, using which you can play Virtual Console games on a Wii or a Wii U.
  4. The NES will also have multiple suspend points which basically will allow you to start playing the game again from other areas than one save point.
