Good news for Playstation fans. As of now sales of the Playstation 4 have reached 30.2 million units. According to Sony, “PS4 continues to demonstrate the fastest and strongest growth in PlayStation hardware history.” The Ps4 has easily outsold its competition, with the Nintendo’s Wii U selling a meager 10.73 million units worldwide as of September 30th, whilst Microsoft keeping quiet for over a year, said last November that it was close to having shipped 10 million units to retailers when the Ps4 sales had reached 17 million.
Andrew House, President and Global CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment said:
“We are sincerely grateful that gamers across the globe have continued to choose PS4 as the best place to play since launch two years ago.”
He also added,
“We are committed to bringing engaging games and entertainment services to users worldwide. Thanks to the support of our partners, PS4 continues to be the premiere platform for game and interactive entertainment innovation.”
If you are looking for reasons to pick up a PS4 this Christmas, this piece of news might help you make that decision.
