CD Projekt Red is Hiring For Cyberpunk 2077, Including Programmers and Designers for Vehicle Gameplay

Little is known about Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt Red’s upcoming game, but some newly released job adverts on the CDPR website may provide some clues.

Although dozens of new openings have been put up, two are of particular interest. Seeking vehicle gameplay programmers and designers, “to create the whole architecture of vehicle related code, and the physics of driving / flying in those vehicles” and “to create compelling vehicle based gameplay, including but not limited to; vehicle handling and controls, vehicle combat and relevant vehicle based AI systems,” respectively. The only other information on how these vehicles might look like or do, is courtesy of some concept art.

Cyberpunk 2077 still doesn’t have a definite release date, nor any demos. In an interview with Gamespot, CDPR CEO Marcin Iwinski said “the game is still “a long ways away” from launch, and further stressed that CD Projekt Red still has “a lot of work to do” to make it a “truly outstanding game.” The release window is wide, between 2017-2021, and presumably for PC, Xbox One and PS4 (or whichever consoles are around at release.) Hopefully, more official details about the intriguing project will begin trickling in.
