AMD Announces the Radeon RX 480


AMD has just revealed their new GPU, the Radeon RX 480 GPU, to be launched on June 29 this year. AMD claims the card is capable of “delivering VR capability common in $500 GPUs,” and will be able to power the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. The card will be priced at a very competitive $199, or approximately 13,400 INR.

AMD has been looking at stepping up their VR game for a while now, with the Radeon Pro Duo and Sulon Q.

This announcement comes hot on the heels of Nvidia’s reveal of the monster GTX 1070 AND 1080. How this card will shape up to be a competitor for the Nvidia cards will be seen in the coming months.
