Internet sensation PewDiePie, who has stolen 41,598,299 hearts as I write this article, is all set to expand his ‘Bro-Army’, that name being the term he refers to his fan base. In partnership with Disney’s Maker Studios and an ensemble line-up of YouTubers, he has announced the launching of a new channel, named ‘Revelmode’.
Executive VP and head of Maker Studios, Courtney Volt adds, “We’re thrilled to be doubling down with Felix. He is an amazing talent, a great partner and the pulse of millennial pop culture. We firmly believe in his vision for Revelmode and his chosen creators — we can’t wait to see the possibilities ahead.”
PewDiePie, who goes by the name of Felix Kjellberg when he isn’t trying to get senpai to notice him, has been in collaboration with the Maker Studios since 2012. YouTube partners in this endeavour include CinnamonToastKen, CutiePieMarzia, PressHeartToContinue, emmablackery, jacksepticeye, Jelly, Kwebbelkop and Markiplier. This squad is all set to bring you “one-off videos to original series to gamey games to animatoons, music, clothes, charity drives, and more — really anything that’s awesome in the eyes of the fans”, to put it in Pewds’ own words.
Speaking more about this YouTube channel, Kjellberg adds, “I started as a gaming and digital-content fan long before making this a profession. The idea of Revelmode was built from my own experiences and will aim to bring together an Avengers-like talent squad to work and grow a business together.”
There is however, much more than just entertainment in their schedule. This channel is all set to promote and encourage fans in raising funds for a variety of social causes, notably charity: water which also happens to be Felix’s first major collaboration for philanthropy and other being Save The Children.
And lastly, this brand will focus on game development. Being something out of their foray for the other YouTubers, this however won’t be Pewds’ first plunge into this field. Last year saw his debut in game development with Outerminds Inc. to make 2D side-scroller ‘Legend of the Brofist’.
