The release of procedural space sim No Man’s Sky has apparently been postponed . There’s no word on a new release date, but we’re hearing it’s been bumped to at least July or August.
No Man’s Sky has been riding the hype train since it was announced back in 2013. Last October, the developer team, a small UK–based studio called Hello Games, announced that it will be out June of 2016, but that appears to have changed.
GameStop said they received marketing materials today for No Man’s Sky by the original June 21 expiration date. Nevertheless, stores were informed that the release date is no longer correct and that they should cover it up with a “Coming Soon” label:
Sources have not yet received any response from Sony or Hello Games. We’ll keep you updated as we get more information.
